History of P&R Reptiles:

In 2001 I, Robert Jones, founded P&R Reptiles.

I have a background in carpentry and a love for animal conservation and captive breeding. As a small child I caught anything that moved, by the time I was 17 my collection of reptiles and amphibians had grown to about 30 animals.

In 2001 I started to sell the enclosures I built and the reptiles I bred at reptile expos.

In 2003 I started P&R Reptiles birthday parties. I would (and still do) present my reptiles to children serving as educational entertainment that children simply love at birthday parties. Since then P&R Reptiles has gone to schools, nursing homes, girl and boy scout troops, along with scores of birthday parties.

Now it's 2007, and it's time to move up again. With the world wide web taking over the world P&R Reptiles decided to jump in with this new website (alright I'm a dinosaur, maybe that's why I love reptiles).

Why Reptiles:

I've never been able to get over the primal excitement and respect that comes from holding an alligator or wrestling a 12 foot python back into it's cage after it had a little taste of freedom.

I own reptiles of all sizes and shapes. The smaller lizards and turtles are fun to watch, the larger ones are beautiful and exciting to interact with, but even when they're tame they're still wild, prehistoric creatures. I know my animals well enough to be comfortable handling them around children (I understand their movements). You've got to respect them, and be attuned to them. I 'd live in the jungle if I could, but since that's not going to happen any time soon having Pythons, Monitor Lizards, Tree Frogs and Turtles right nearby is like having my own piece of Nature with me.
